Savour, one of the Middle East’s new wave of food business accelerators will kick off in Kuwait in October.

The program aims to help startups in the food sector bring their products and services to the market. The accelerator’s curriculum is curated by Creative Startups, a US-based incubator with 10 years of experience across the globe.

Early-stage firms that are selected to join the accelerator will get funds worth up to $100,000; access to mentors, investors and alumni network and admission in a comprehensive eight-week program.

Startups that are not presently based in Kuwait will also get relocation costs.

Early-stage firms from the food supply chain including farming, ag-tech, food distribution, retail, wellness, consumer packaged goods and food-related apps can apply, the team said.

Applications are open until July 22 at www.savour.ventures.

The launch comes after Dubai-based Kitchen Nation launched a culinary incubator program in January, aiming to encourage foodie entrepreneurs and innovators to bring their food and beverages (FB) concepts to the market in the UAE.

Kitchen Nation aims to bring bootstrapping entrepreneurs together under a single roof and give them a helping hand to realize their dreams.
