5 Remarkable Ways To Tap Into Your Genius Every Day

Spread the love

We all have genius inside of us. You feel it too. I know you do. When you were younger you could tap into it. You didn’t even think about it. Your genius would flow from your fingertips. You’d create, and play, and slip into a flow state. It was like a super power you didn’t even know you had!

Here are 5 ways to tap into your genius every day:

1. Get excited.

We human beings are more energy than matter. Finding those things that excited you isn’t just for kids. Excitement can propel you into a euphoric state of creation.

Lifting your energy can change your mind, body, and soul. So allow yourself to get excited, and tap into your own genius.

2. Collaborate – find a playmate.

When I was a boy I loved playing with my friends. The whole block would collaborate on elaborate projects. We’d pull together hockey games, pick up football, and even dirt bike races. We were problem-solving on the fly.

We were creators of our most optimal vision of fun. We collaborated on a higher plane. We all knew what needed to happen. There was no battle for power. No hierarchy. No in fighting. Only movement toward a goal.

Surround yourself with like-minded “playmates” and start to have fun again. Don’t forget this – business can be fun. When you’re tapping into your genius, you will slip into the flow, and create some magical stuff.

3. Create separation – seek silence.

A friend recently challenged me to think about what I did for fun when I was 12 years old. I answered that I had no idea. She pushed me, and I’m glad she did.

An image of myself sitting at my desk, alone with my door closed popped into my head. I was sketching. Alone. In silence. While I know that I’m an outgoing and gregarious person, I also love to be alone. I’m in a library as I write this. It’s silent. And I’m blissful.

Remember that not all play has to be out loud. Give yourself the gift of silence and remind yourself of your genius.

4. Seek joy

If something doesn’t bring you joy, remove it from your life. If clothing doesn’t fit, give it to good will. If a spouse mistreats you, leave them. If friends gossip about you, find new ones.

No exceptions. Get out immediately. Only allow people and experiences who bring you joy.

5. Move your body

Feel tired? Don’t lie down, get up and move. Go for a walk. Or a jog, or get in a workout. I’m addicted to CrossFit. When I’m feeling anxious, or separated from my own authentic self, I know that I have to get moving. I have to sweat and jump and play with my friends.

So get up, and move, and find your genius.
